Hinge Counseling and LIfe Coaching

Happy New Year!!! I hope this, my first post of the new year, finds you doing well. I pray that 2024 provides countless blessings and hope and love permeate you and your family’s lives.

I recently completed Seminary, earning a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling specializing in Life Coaching. Although I have been coaching most of my adult life, this new calling into formal ministry will allow me to be laser focused on helping others. 

God’s timing is perfect.

I spent most of the past five years as a vagabond, wondering in the “wilderness” (so to speak) believing most certainly that God has been sharpening, growing, and equipping me. It has been a journey fraught with challenges, many low moments, and times where I quite frankly wanted to give up.  Yet, as I now look in the rear view mirror I clearly see the blessings…in experiences, relationships, and in the strength and courage I’ve gained.  C.S. Lewis once said "Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny." That destiny for this ordinary person will be realized in living out the mission of Hinge Ministries; to honor God by leading, loving, and serving those in need.

With this said, I write today asking for your support as I formally launch Hinge Counseling & Life Coaching. If you are a prayerful person, I ask for your prayers. The prayer of Jabez comes to mind in this request…”that The Lord would enlarge my territory.” (1 Chronicles 4:9-10) In enlarging my spiritual influence, I need help in identifying those who may be in need. I realize that the beginning of a new year is often a time of reflection and also renewal. Most of us attempt to set new goals and truly desire some degree of change in our lives. Whether it is a lingering unresolved issue from the past or the hope for maintaining a positive lifestyle change, I would like to help. I can serve as a guide or encourager through a transitional time. I can also help with goal setting and accountability. Being a trusted friend is something that I embrace and want to offer to others as foundational of my ministry.

How exactly does the ministry work? The ministry offers counseling/coaching/mentoring without barriers where payment is not expected. The ministry is based on a missionary funding model. The financial support that I receive from donations will provide help for anyone in need. I am currently taking steps to establish a nonprofit so that donations will be tax deductible. However, in the immediate future contributions will help to propel the ministry forward and will be much appreciated. 

In great humility I offer a testimony from a client:
